Overview
MBZUAI is based in Masdar City, a low-carbon development built to support a high quality of life for the students, faculty, staff, and visitors who join us from around the globe. First Aid Clinic
For minor injuries or medical complaints, the MBZUAI First Aid Clinic is available on campus, 24/7. The fully-equipped clinic, located in the Solar Building, is staffed by registered medical professionals and ready to help with all your first aid needs.
(Due to ongoing renovation works, our First Aid Clinic has been temporarily relocated to a location next to Building 1A, behind the ADNH canteen.)
Canteen
We provide an on-campus canteen where students can get a nutritious meal and connect with peers at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
There are also many restaurants and cafés serving a wide variety of cuisines that can be found in the retail outlets located on campus.

Parks and green space
Our Masdar City location gives students access to several public green spaces.
Most notably, Masdar Park is a 2,500 sqm green space adjacent to campus. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., the park features recreational sports facilities, a children’s playground, a music wall, and sustainability-themed art installations. Visitors can use the park's solar-powered benches to charge their phones and digital devices, and the Tree of Light – made from recycled building materials – changes color when touched.
Other student life essentials
Students at our Masdar City campus have direct access to restaurants, cafes, salons, pharmacies, car rental companies, and My City Centre Masdar shopping mall. Taxis are readily available, and the University provides a shuttle service that connects students to shopping malls and key local destinations.
Most major banks have branches in Abu Dhabi, and we can even help you open a bank account during orientation.
Prayer rooms
We provide both male and female prayer rooms on campus. The male prayer room is located in the Knowledge Center (or “KC” as most students know it), and the female prayer room can be found in the Biomass residential building.
Additional male and female prayer rooms are available in buildings 1A and 1B.
